PIRATES KEELHAUL CLASSIC

CLASSIC had no chance as they were gunned down 3-0 by a rampant Orlando Pirates in their Premiership game at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday night. Pirates lead 2-0 at the break. The Buccaneers scored their first goal in the second minute when Andries Sebola’s pinpoint pass found Joseph Ngake, who made no mistake in whipping it past ‘keeper Isaac Mkhondo. Mkhonda was beaten again eight minutes later when Steve Lekoelea drilled a twenty-metre free kick into the back of the net. Pirates substitute Warren Lewis scored the third goal in the 85th minute after latching onto a splendid pass by another substitute, Innocent Chikoya . Lekoelea almost scored a brace when he dribbled exquisitely, but the goal was saved on the line by Classic defender Mexson Moreni. Classic looked stronger in the second stanza, but sharp goalkeeping from William Okpara denied their best efforts.
