GOVT CONSOLES UK TRAIN VICTIMS

THE South African government on Thursday expressed its condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the train tragedy near Paddington Station in London. “To those who have been injured in this tragedy we express the government’s wishes for a speedy recovery,” it said in a statement. The rail crash on Tuesday — one of Britain’s worst — has claimed at least 33 lives. Police say up to 170 people are still missing.
