GRIQUAS/FREE STATE TEAM ANNOUNCED

THE Free State/Griquas selectors have announced the team to play England in a four-dayer at Bloemfontein next weekend.

The selectors had a tough time selecting the side as six of the top players are either on Test or South Africa A duty.

One of the inclusions in the side is 18-year-old legspinner Andre Abrahams, a virtual unknown, who plays his cricket in Bloemfontein but has yet to play for Free State.

The side is:

Martyn Gidley (capt.), Gerhardus Liebenberg, Loots Bosman, Pieter Barnard, Finley Brooker, Kosie Venter, Wendell Bossenger, Herman Bakkes, Johan van der Wath, Garth Roe, Andre Abrahams. 12th man: Morne van Wyk. Head coach: Andy Moles, assistant coach: Fred Swarbrook.
