DUDU Nkosi, the lover of alleged cash-heist kingpin, Collin Chauke, has decided to defend herself when her trial begins in the Nelspruit Regional Court on Wednesday. Nkosi, 31, has been in jail for over 10 months since she was first remanded in custody on March 29 last year on charges of harbouring a wanted criminal and on 14 separate fraud and theft charges. Her case has been repeatedly postponed as she failed to pay her legal representatives, the last of which withdrew from the case on Monday. The fraud charges against Nkosi include buying a house and a car using about four or five false identity books. She is also accused of using the identity books to open a string of clothing and furniture accounts. She was arrested at a rented Nelspruit townhouse on January 19 last year, along with Chauke and two other men.
