CRASH SURVIVORS WALK 200KM

TWO survivors of a plane crash in Botswana walked into a game camp in the north-east of the country Sunday after a 200km hike through the desert. The men said they had left three other survivors of Wednesday’s crash when they set off on their journey on Thursday to find help. The aircraft was more than halfway to Maun when the pilot radioed Gaborone flight control and said there were oil pressure problems with one engine. The game camp is near the north-eastern village of Pandamatenga. The wreckage of the South African-registered Cessna 414 light aircraft was spotted near the north-eastern town of Kasane earlier on Sunday after a five-day search.
