ZIM DRAW AS CHANDERPAUL HITS 103

SHIVNARINE Chanderpaul hit a century as the West Indies drew with Zimbabwe in their three-day fixture at Arundel on Monday. The match ended tamely with Zimbabwe on 108 for one after being set a target of 333. Opener Trevor Gripper reached 66 not out. Chanderpaul struck 18 boundaries in his undefeated 103 off 149 deliveries. He was involved in half-century partnerships with his captain Jimmy Adams and Mahendra Nagamootoo before the West Indies declared their second innings at 200 for five. The Windies now head for Edgbaston where they play England in the opening Test, starting on Thursday.
