TOBACCO ADS KICKED IN BUTT

BRITISH American Tobacco South Africa, which holds the lion’s share of the market in the country, said it would end advertising on December 31, four months before a legal ban comes into force. The ban would mean the end of sponsorship for events such as the Rothmans Cup soccer tournament, the Peter Stuyvesant Music Spectaculars and the Dunhill Symphony of Fire international fireworks competition. – Reuters
