SA AGREES TO HELP US OVER ATTACKS

SOUTH Africa’s ambassador to the United Nations has pledged South Africa’s continued co-operation with the United States over the September 11 terror attacks on New York and Washington. Dumisani Khumalo, told the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday that intelligence agencies would pass on any concrete information to their US counterparts. In the short term, Khumalo said, the objective was to bring to book those responsible for these ”despicable acts.” In the medium term, we should seek to understand why such things occur and prevent them happening again. – Sapa
