A 25-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly raped two girls aged four and 11 at their Florida home, West Rand police reported. Captain Paula Nothnagel said on Monday the man, who was known to the girls, came to their house at 5.15pm to watch television. Nothnagel said when he realised the girls were alone in the house, he locked the door and raped them. One of the neighbours saw him leaving the house, and few minutes later saw the two girls come out of the house crying. They told the neighbour what had happened and she immediately went to look for their mother, who had gone to a local shop. The man was later arrested at his house. The two girls were taken to a local clinic for examination and the man was taken to hospital for blood samples. He would appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court soon, Nothnagel said. – Sapa
