Eastern Cape apostle’s funeral rescheduled

Cape Town | Tuesday

THE funeral of the Eastern Cape apostle who did not die as planned at the weekend has been re-scheduled for this coming Saturday, a church elder confirmed.

Fifty-eight-year-old Freddie Isaacs, a builder and one of eight apostles of the Reformed Apostolic Church, had a vision in September that his time on earth was over.

He reportedly stopped eating last week, and the Cradock town hall was booked for his funeral at the weekend.

Fellow-apostle Dennis Arends confirmed on Tuesday that the funeral had been re-scheduled, and that Isaacs drank a small amount of soup on Monday afternoon to dispel the ”stigma of suicide”.

Asked how Isaacs was, Arends replied: ”All that I can say is, he says he is going home.” – Sapa
