HOME AFFAIRS DEPORTS ACSA OFFICIAL

A SENIOR communications officer for the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) will be deported in the next 30 days after she was allegedly found with a fraudulent identification document. Home Affairs representative Leslie Mashokwe on Monday said the woman was being held for allegedly contravening the Aliens Control Act. He said the woman was arrested by immigration officers on Wednesday last week. Mashokwe said the woman allegedly confessed that she had obtained her identification document fraudulently in 1995. He said Home Affairs had an option to charge her, but that they would probably deport her to Zimbabwe because she had been ”very co-operative”. ACSA representative Jackie O’ Sullivan confirmed that the woman had been suspended from work pending the outcome of the case. -Sapa
