Ambassadors, trade commissioners and key business leaders from 21 countries are all wending their way to Kyalami for the Metropolitan — South Africa for the Global Advantage trade summit and SMME Expo.
Aircraft will fly in bearing ambassadors, trade commissioners and business leaders from Algeria, Austria, Egypt, Ireland, Ethiopia, Italy, Kuwait, Mexico, Palestine, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, the Seychelles, Singapore, Switzerland, Tanzania, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Besides the airlines, the airwaves will also be kept very busy. SAfm will have an outside broadcast unit present from Monday to Thursday, with Vuyo Mbuli hosting key speakers on his show from 9am to noon daily. Listeners with questions on regional investment and business opportunities can phone in on 0891 104 207 for answers from the experts.
Those wanting to see just how much South Africans from the less-established business sector have to offer the outside world will be stunned by the range of products on show at the SMME Expo at the Kyalami Conference Centre. Exhibitors, who are all sponsored by the public and private sectors, will be displaying their wares, from toilet paper, coffins and soya products to steel furniture, virtual reality technology and security hardware, to foreign delegates and the general public.
