Zondo to coach Sundowns

Former Lamontville Golden Arrows manager Khabo Zondo has been appointed as Sundowns’ joint coach to assist Oscar Fullone, who has enjoyed a bad start to his first season at the Kloorkop-based side.

Zondo, who coached Thembisa Classic, will assist Fullone in an attempt to bring in some results and fresh ideas.

Fullone, who has so far failed to live up to his billing as the top coach in the continent, escaped the axe, which would prematurely end his career following his appointment early this year.

Questions on what the he promises to deliver at Sundowns, seem to fall on deaf ears as, instead he [Zondo] described his sudden appointed as a gateway for others to follow.

”I view the move ads a I want to open the gate to other young black coaches to coach bug clubs like Sundowns,” he said on Tuesday. — Sapa
