Teams eye Coke cup

The Coca-Cola Cup competition, worth R2-million, draws closer to the final, but for now the fans of Kaizer Chiefs, Golden Arrows, Wits University and Silver Stars will have to watch their teams fight it out in the semi-finals.

Mondays morning’s draw pit Kaizer Chiefs against Wits University and Silver Stars are to take on Golden Arrows. Both semi-finals will be played on the weekend of 22-23 November. Wits captain Charles Yohane said, ‘We will not be intimidated by Chiefs supporters, after missing the super eight final we want to go all the way in this Cup competition.

Kaizer Chiefs public relations officer said: ”My eyes are on the Coke trophy and Wits will be in the lions den at Ellis Park for a lecture they will never forget”.

Chiefs are at the helm of the premier soccer league table followed by Wits. The Wits public relations officer Dennis added that ”we do not want to be known only as giant killers, but giants of South African soccer”
