Hellenic beat struggling Zulu Royals 2-0 in a Premier Soccer League match in Springs on Sunday afternoon.
There was no score at half-time.
In the second half, Hellenic striker Masixole May scored two penalties, making sure that his side collected the maximum three points to register 16 points from 25 games.
Refferee Jerome Damone gave Royals’ Moses Malabela an early shower in the 22nd minute after roughing up May.
Two minutes later Hellenic’s Thabiso Gopane was also red-carded for rough play by Damone.
In the 51st minute, with only nine men on the park, Royals defender and former Kaiser Chiefs player Gary Goldstone pulled down May in the box and Damone awarded Hellenic a spot kick, which they converted.
Fani Madida’s charges continued to dictate terms for Clive Barker’s boys. Defender Ivan Zwane then kicked May in the box and the ref awarded Hellenic their second penalty.
