The match-fixing case against two officials from the Bloemfontein Celtic Club and a soccer official was postponed in the Bloemfontein District Court on Friday.
Senior provincial government official and Celtic co-director Mmuso Tsoametsi and club official Joseph Nyabela were arrested last weekend as part of Operation Dribble, a police investigation into alleged match-fixing.
The match official, Walter Mochubela, appeared in court for the first time on Friday.
The men were allegedly involved in match-fixing in the game between Bloemfontein Celtic and Sporting FC in the Free State capital in April this year.
Tsoametsi and Nyabela’s bail were extended. Mochubela was released on his own recognizance.
They will appear again on July 27. — Sapa
