A young boy looking for his mother walked from one subway station to another on the train tracks, narrowly dodging an oncoming train, a subway official said on Monday.
The boy’s mother had mistakenly left him on a subway train and he walked the tracks looking for her after getting off at the next station, MTR Corporation spokesperson Kenrick Ko said.
The boy, who is six or seven years old, met an oncoming train during his one-kilometre walk between stations, but the train’s driver hit the brakes and sounded the horn while the boy dodged to the side, said Ko.
He escaped unhurt and walked on to the station, where he was reunited with his mother, according to Ko. – Sapa-AP
