Swallows collect maximum points

Moroka Swallows collected maximum points away from home when they beat Manning Rangers 2-1 in a Castle Premiership encounter played at Chatsworth Stadium on Wednesday night.

The score was 1-1 at interval.

The visitors were the first to find the back of the net when Mark McVeigh scored straight from a corner kick in the 27th minute.

The goal was cancelled by Linos Chalwe in the 45th minute. In fact, this was supposed to be Chalwe’s second goal in the game. He missed a sitter in the 16th minute.

In the second half, Swallows introduced Samuel Ngobeni for Edzai Kasinauyo. The substitution bore fruit, as Ngobeni scored the winner for the Birds in the 89th minute. — Sapa
