Orlando Pirates hardly had to raise a sweat as they ran out the comfortable 3-0 winner over Dynamos in their Castle Premier Soccer League match played at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday.
Pirates led 1-0 at the break.
It took just nine minutes for the visitors to go ahead when captain Benedict Vilakazi scored his second goal of the season.
Dynamos managed to hold off Pirates for the rest of the half but that all changed in the 65th minute when Steve Lekoelea scored to make it 2-0.
With only four minutes remaining, Pirates’ young striker Lebohang ”Cheese” Mokoena scored to make it 3-0.
The win comes after a poor midweek result when Pirates only managed a disappointing draw against Bloemfontein Celtic at Ellis Park last Wednesday night.
There have been quite a few calls for the scalp of Bucs coach Kostadin Papic following some poor performances, but Pirates will hope that this win will get their league campaign back on track.
Papic certainly must have read them the riot act, as the players looked far better and more focused this time around. — Sapa
