Draw for Supersport, Swallows

Supersport United played to a 2-2 draw against Moroka Swallows in a thrilling Castle Premiership match played on Wednesday night at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.

The half-time score was 1-1.

Supersport United had a golden opportunity to break the Swallows’ jinx, as they were playing against 10 men after Bheki Ndlovhu was red-carded in the 38th minute of the game.

The first goal of the match was scored by Dikgang Mabalane in the first minute after a disorganised Swallows team appeared to be still thinking about the closure of the Rand Stadium.

Dennis Lota responded for the ”Beautiful Birds” with a fine header in the 31st minute, scored from a Mark McVeigh corner kick strike.

Lumgisani Ndlela made up for several blunders he had made during the game by scoring the Swallows’ second goal in the 79th minute.

It then seemed as if Swallows would collect maximum points until United’s captain, Ricarda Katza, scored their second goal from a free-kick spot during the referee’s optional time added on. — Sapa
