Chart-topping British singer Robbie Williams will be in South Africa for a three-day national tour next year. He is expected to perform in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, possibly in April.
Williams’s latest album, Intensive Care, shot into the United Kingdom’s number-one slot, and it went gold on the day of release last month.
The former member of boy band Take That has been performing solo for eight years. He has produced nearly 30 hit singles since recording his debut album in 1997.
Often referred to as one of the greatest pop icons of our time, Williams has sold more than 40-million albums worldwide, and received numerous awards.
His Live at Knebworth album became the fastest-selling live album in British chart history, and What We Did Last Summer became the fastest- and biggest-selling music DVD to date.
Big Concerts said on Thursday tickets for the tour will go on sale on November 9, exclusively to subscribers of Robbiewilliams.com, and will then be available at Computicket from November 19.
Tour details will be announced at a later stage. — Sapa
