Even though they may not understand God’s master plan, South Africans must trust him, Freedom Front Plus leader Pieter Mulder said in a Christmas message released on Monday.
In the message he suggested South Africans, or at least some of them, might be ”captives” in the same way that God willed that the Israelites be held captive in Babylon when they strayed from his ways.
”And us? What is His plan for us?” he asked. ”Everything appears to be so confusing. Are we also captives at this time?
”We may not always understand God’s master plan, even for us in South Africa. Yet we have to trust.”
Quoting a text from the book of Jeremiah, in which God promises to take the Israelites back to Jerusalem, Mulder said their captivity had been part of God’s master plan, culminating in the birth of Christ.
”Let us be grateful in the new year because we know that our future and the events in South Africa, are in His hands as part of His greater master plan,” he said. – Sapa
