New Zealand out for 283

It took South Africa an hour and 35 minutes to get rid of the last four New Zealand batsmen for 283 on the third morning of the third Castle Lager Test at the Wanderers on Sunday.

Oram and Daniel Vettori had put on 49 runs for the seventh wicket.

Vettori reached his 11th Test 50 off 71 balls, and he and James Franklin, who made 122 in the second Test in Cape Town, started looking dangerous, as they continued to add on the runs. But when the end came, it came quickly, with the last three wickets falling in six balls.

Shaun Pollock made the important breakthrough when he bowled Franklin for 19 off the last ball of his 13th over, and Andrew Hall wiped out the tail in the next over, with Vettori caught in the slips by AB de Villiers for 60 off the fourth ball of his 13th

over.

Last man Chris Martin faced just one ball, which he hit in the air straight into the hands of Hashim Amla.
