Thailand launches radio show for dogs

Inspired by a United States radio show for pets, a Thai dog lover has launched a round-the-clock online music radio programme for canines, a report said on Thursday.

DogRadioThailand.com, which made its debut on Wednesday, offers both vocal and instrumental music for dogs, the English-daily Bangkok Post said, quoting radio programme operator Anupan Boonchuen.

“I’ve noticed that dogs often respond to music. Some wag their tails. Some lift their heads while lying on the floor,” said Anupan.

“When you love someone or something dearly, you will always think of good things for them, like I dream of a special radio programme for dogs,” he said.

Anupan said his dog’s favourite music was Thai folk songs, adding that the animals’ favoured music tended to reflect their owners’ taste. – AFP
