The Department of Home Affairs has ordered national football coach Carlos Parreira and his assistant to stop working until they have sorted out their working permits, Business Day reported on Monday.
Spokesperson Mansthele Tau said the South African Football Association (Safa) had submitted late work-permit applications on behalf of the two men.
Parreira and his assistant Jairo Lopes Cesar Leal do not yet have legal working status.
Tau said Safa would be fined but did not disclose the amount to be paid. – Sapa
