SuperSport, Celtic share the spoils

SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic earned a point each after they drew 2-2 in their Castle Premier Soccer League clash at the Loftus Versfeld on Sunday.

The result means SuperSport jump to fifth while Celtic remain in eighth place. Kaizer Chiefs, who beat Maritzburg United 3-0, stay in ninth with 42 points, one point less than SuperSport, Orlando Pirates, Jomo Cosmos and Celtic, who are separated by goal difference.

Katlego Mashego opened the scoring for Supersport in the 34th minute, Cyrill Mubialla equalised five minutes later and then James Chamanga put the hosts in the lead on the stroke of half-time.

Seven minutes after the break Celtic substitute Petros Mahlatsi scored to earn a well -deserved point for the boys from Bloemfontein.

The game started at a frantic pace and both teams attacked relentlessly, showing their intention of making it to the SAA Supa8 competition next season.
