Convicted child-killer Christian Olivier has confessed to molesting at least 200 boys over a period of three years, the early edition of the Saturday Star reported on Friday.
The investigating officer in the Olivier case, Inspector John Nomdoe, told the paper that Olivier had confessed to the 200 counts of molestation on Friday.
Olivier was found guilty on Tuesday of the murder, kidnapping and indecent assault of Steven Siebert in December 2005.
The boy had been on holiday in Plettenberg Bay when he went missing. His body was found hidden in bushes near the house where he was staying.
Olivier this week told the court that his multiple personality condition, which psychiatrist Professor Shaun Kaliski and other medical professionals had failed to diagnose, was largely responsible for his crimes.
He particularly blamed Theo, whom he said was one of the personalities that had a lot of influence in his life, for the crimes.
Olivier, who said he had eight personalities, also told the court that his frequent changing of names demonstrated which personality was in charge of his life at a particular time. – Sapa
