IT company Datatec expects first-half revenue to exceed $2,2-billion helped by its operations in developing markets and despite slower market conditions in the United States and Europe.
Revenue in the six-month period to the end of August last year was $1,9-billion.
”Trading for the first quarter has been strong, especially considering overall economic conditions,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
”The board expects that the group will deliver good revenue growth for the first half of the year and an improved financial performance when compared with the same period last year.”
Datatec said its United States unit Logicalis had recorded its best first-quarter performance to date, boosted by a strong performance from its operations in South America.
It added it is targeting Asian countries, including India, for further investment.
Datatec will release its interim results on October 15. – Reuters
