With all eyes on Wednesday’s budget, which will be presented in Parliament, the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) shares its top five wish list in terms of announcements:
- Amend legislation to stop unfair overcharging of provisional taxpayers.
- Extend the training tax break past this October.
- Simplify VAT registrations.
- Raise the tax threshold for small business corporations.
- Remove anomalies in existing small business capital gains tax relief.
