]This week 200 top chefs from more than 30 countries descend on Durban to raise funds for the hungry as part of the lavish Bidvest World Chefs Tour against Hunger, which aims to raise at least R5-million for feeding schemes around the country.
People can show their support for the cause — and enjoy some tasty delights — by booking a table at the food festival venue at Suncoast Casino and sampling speciality dishes from Australia, Austria, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Egypt, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, the Republic of Macedonia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, South Tyrol, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand and the United States. The chefs will perform cooking demonstrations. You can buy a chef’s hat for R10 to support the fight against hunger.
