The ANC held a “fruitful and honest” bilateral meeting with its alliance partner Cosatu in Johannesburg on Monday, the party and trade federation said.
“It focused on the important issues of labour law amendments, in particular the problems of labour brokers, and the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Programme, dubbed as e-tolling,” ANC spokesperson Jackson Mthembu and Cosatu spokesperson Patrick Craven said in a joint statement.
A follow-up meeting would be held in the coming weeks to continue with the discussions as both parties were fully cognisant of the urgency of the matters.
“Papers presented at the meeting and discussions that ensued will not be made public,” they said. — Sapa
