Eleven days after being injured in a car accident, Limpopo premier Cassel Mathale is expected to resume his duties on Tuesday.
“Mr Mathale is very fine now, he is well and will start work on Tuesday, obviously with several meetings as is usually the case on Tuesdays,” his spokesperson Mashadi Mathosa said on Monday.
Provincial police spokesperson Lt-Colonel Mohale Ramatseba said the cause of the March 29 accident in which Mathale and his driver were injured, near Ga-Sekgopo outside Polokwane, was still being investigated.
Their car left the road in the rain and overturned. Mathale was hospitalised for a night at the Polokwane Medi Clinic and discharged the following day. He had been recuperating at home since then. — Sapa
