Fans of Trevor Noah have been celebrating the news this weekend that the South African comedian is to star in his own US sitcom.

The half-hour show will be produced by Overbrook entertainment – a company co-owned by Hollywood celebrity couple Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith.
One tweet reacting to the news was from Geoffrey York who said: "Let's just hope Will Smith doesn't turn Trevor Noah into "The Fresh Prince of Soweto"."
Thulani Siyo, tweeted his support for Noah by declaring: "So Trevor Noah has landed himself a sitcom in the states? Now thats ayoba!!!"
