Mishies Company addresses the pressing environmental problems of waste management and energy shortages by converting organic waste into biogas. The team of environmental scientists, engineers and IT specialists focuses on designing innovative anaerobic digesters that turn food waste into clean, renewable energy. Mishies Company also produces high-quality, eco-friendly lump charcoal from sustainably harvested hardwood, reducing deforestation and supporting green practices. It is aiming for a future where sustainable approaches transform lives, conserve resources and contribute to Africa’s clean energy transition. By transforming waste into energy and creating sustainable alternatives, the company aims to lead by example and demonstrate that every small step contributes to a larger effect on the environment and communities. The company recently won an award in the pollution and waste management category of the Nedbank Green Economy Awards. The prize money will be used to employ two new staff members.
