A two-year-old boy abducted by his father in mountainous terrain around Beaufort West was found unharmed on Monday afternoon, Western Cape police said. ”Jaylin Muller was found safe and sound between the hours of 3pm and 4pm today [Monday],” said Captain Malcolm Pojie.

A Durban teacher was stabbed and robbed of her vehicle by five men on Monday, police said on Tuesday. Police spokesperson Superintendent Daniela Veldhuizen said the teacher was leaving Mariann Park Primary School in Mariannhill when the incident took place.

Australia are likely to bid to host the 2018 World Cup following Fifa’s decision to scrap its rotation policy. Football Federation Australia chief executive Ben Buckley said Australia was ”very serious” about bidding for the 2018 World Cup now that it was open to countries outside of North America.

Israel’s attorney general (AG) told the government on Monday it could not cut electrical power to the Gaza Strip as part of its sanctions against the Hamas controlled territory, although he did approve other measures.
