The Blue Bulls reached a fourth consecutive Currie Cup final with a hard-fought, come-from-behind 31-23 semifinal victory over the Lions at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday evening. The Lions led 17-16 at the break, but should have been further ahead after outplaying the defending champions in most facets in the first 40 minutes.

Annika Sorenstam, her sights set on a fifth Samsung World Championship crown, surged to a four-stroke lead on Saturday. Sorenstam fired a third-round 66 on the Canyons course at Bighorn Golf Club for 201 and a four-stroke lead over South Korea’s Gloria Park, whose bogey-free 68 put her at 11-under 205.

Andrew Flintoff and Muttiah Muralitharan triggered an Australian batting collapse of 5-30 off 17 overs to give the World XI a glimmer of hope for a come-from-behind victory in the Super Test in Sydney on Sunday.
