Shosholoza crew member Sieraj Jacobs (25) of Grassy Park in the Cape lost the tip of his little finger on his right hand in a sailing accident on Thursday afternoon last week while practising with the team for the upcoming two America’s Cup pre-regattas which start next week off Valencia in Spain.

Pirates square with Swallows

Orlando Pirates drew 2-2 against Moroka Swallows in the big Premier Soccer League local derby played at the Rand stadium on Sunday. Swallows led 1-0 at half-time, thanks to an own goal by Jimmy Tau in the 40th minute. The ball ricocheted off Tau after a thunderous shot from Shaun Permall.
