The South African Department of Communications (DOC) on Wednesday published a draft Convergence Bill for comment by industry players and the public within 60 days. Once the comments have been incorporated within a revised Bill, it will be presented to cabinet for approval in March 2004.

The South African Rugby Players Association has come out in support of Brian van Rooyen in his campaign to win the presidency of the South African Rugby Football Union (Sarfu) on Friday. The association also called on managing director of SA Rugby Rian Oberholzer and the current president of Sarfu, Silas Nkanunu, to resign.
