Sky wars erupt in SA

The entry of a new low-fare airline, and the price war that has erupted between budget carriers, may lead to "someone getting hurt", John Morrison, CEO of the Airline Association of Southern Africa warned last week. Morrison’s comments came as a new airline, 1Time, started selling tickets for the Johannesburg to Cape Town route.

SA struggle, but beat Benin

Italian-based Siyabonga Nomvethe scored twice in the second half to give South Africa a 2-0 victory against minnows Benin in an African Cup of Nations Group D match played in Sfax on Tuesday. Benin belied their minnow status by taking the game to the South Africans and should have received a penalty midway through the first half.
