Finns are the most competitive

Finland was ranked the most competitive country in the world by the World Economic Forum on Thursday, edging out the United States from the top spot in its annual survey thanks to a healthy Finnish economy, efficient public institutions and technology-driven industry.

UN considers global tax body

For those who worry the United Nations doesn’t already deal with enough red tape, the UN General Assembly has begun discussing a proposal to set up an international tax organisation that would act as a forum to help countries spell out their own standards and principles so that they could better coordinate tax policies.
