My enemy’s enemy…

While South Africans may be divided along race lines on the United States’s military intervention in Iraq (”Black and white take on the war”, April 25), Zimbabweans of all hues are mostly agreed that the US’s crusade to topple tyrants, wherever they are, is a good thing.

The Cape of poverty

Incomes in South African black households fell by 19% between 1995 and 2000, while white household incomes rose by 15%. Last year, two out of three black households in Cape Town townships did not have enough food to eat, a recent survey has found.
