It was heartbreak for Jomo Cosmos at Orkney’s Oppenheimer Stadium on Wednesday when an injury-time goal by Mamelodi Sundowns substitute Bryan Aldave plunged Ezenkosi further into the Absa Premiership relegation quagmire and earned Downs a 1-0 win.
Jomo Cosmos are not pushing the panic buttons … just yet. Ezenkosi suffered their ninth defeat of the season when they were beaten 3-1 away to Bloemfontein Celtic on the weekend, which sees them drop to 15th spot on the Absa Premiership with 22 points — the same number as bottom team Black Leopards.

The bookmakers may well have shut up shop and refused to take bets on a goalless draw for the Premier League game between bottom-of-the-log Jomo Cosmos and struggling Kaizer Chiefs at Orkney’s Oppenheimer Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
