Disney insists new theme park will be fun

Disney on Monday dismissed claims that its new Hong Kong theme park will only have enough activities to keep visitors occupied for four hours, saying it will offer a full day of fun. The company described as ”unfounded” a report in the satirical magazine Spike, which said there are concerns over the park having only one major ride.

Lawyer ‘drunk as a monkey’ in court

Hong Kong justice chiefs have suspended a lawyer who admitted being ”drunk as a monkey” after his giggling and mumbling caused the adjournment of a court case, an official statement said on Tuesday. Roderick Murray clapped, put on his sunglasses, drummed his fingers on his desk and laughed during the court case.

Tropical storm slams into Hong Kong

Hong Kong shut down for business and battened down the hatches as a tropical storm packing winds of 75kph slammed into the territory on Friday. At least two people were injured and 10 flights in and out of the city were cancelled before Tropical Storm Kompasu made landfall in the rural north-eastern Sai Kung district.

An Australian crocodile expert failed on his first night on Friday to catch a rogue croc that has outwitted Hong Kong officials for almost two weeks. The crocodile has become a local media sensation after Hong Kong officials tried in vain to capture it for nearly two weeks.
