Three men have been arrested in connection with an Absa ATM bombing at Phagameng township in Modimolle on Wednesday, Limpopo police said. Spokesperson Superintendent Malesela Ledwaba said the men were caught after a massive search. ”We are still searching for two more men involved in the bombing.”
The South African Communist Party has asked the South African Police Service to finalise its investigation into a donation scandal after an internal audit cleared their secretary general Blade Nzimande. The SACP audit was set up to investigate the whereabouts of R500 000 donated to the party by controversial businessman Charles Modise.

The Pan African Congress (PAC) on Wednesday became the first casualty of the floor-crossing season as its former deputy president launched a new party. Themba Godi announced the launch of the African People’s Convention (APC) at a hotel near Kempton Park. APC spokesperson Mafemane Maringa said the party had been joined by 40 councillors.
