A Darfur rebel group has hailed a court’s decision to order a review of the dropping of genocide charges against Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.
Botswana has distanced itself from a decision to ignore the International Criminal Court order to extradite Sudan’s President Omar al-Bhashir.
The African Union has decided not to cooperate with a warrant against Sudan President Omar al-Bashir and again appealed to the UN to delay the case.
Sudan President Omar al-Bashir on Monday denounced moves to prosecute him for war crimes as an "infringement" on his country’s sovereignty.
Sudan is ready to expel foreign ambassadors "if they exceed their diplomatic mission", President Omar al-Bashir was quoted as saying on Thursday.

The US and other countries are urging Sudan to reverse its decision to expel aid groups who help vulnerable populations throughout the country.
UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday urged Sudan not to expel foreign aid agencies after an arrest warrant was issued for President Omar al-Bashir.
United Nations peacekeepers are worried by a military build-up along the Sudan-Chad border, a top official said on Monday.

A British woman jailed in Sudan for insulting religion by naming a teddy bear after the Prophet Muhammad was to be released on Monday after being granted a presidential pardon. Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir signed the pardon after meeting two British Muslim peers who flew to Khartoum on a mercy mission.

South Africa urged rich countries on Tuesday to provide the hardware required for the deployment of a hybrid United Nations-Africa peacekeeping force in the strife-torn Darfur region of western Sudan. Sudan’s National Congress Party (NCP) of President Omar al-Bashir on Friday criticised the decision by former southern rebels to withdraw from the Khartoum government. "The heart of the problem is that a group within the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement wants to end our partnership," the northern NCP’s number two, Nafie Ali Nafie, said.
