Open source software is the solution to making information technology accessible to people with disabilities. That’s the word from the Global Forum for People with Disabilities. The group held a series of presentations, debates and workshops at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) yesterday about their role in the information society.

Africa coordinator of the Youth Caucus Titi Akinsanmi has managed to get the voice of African youth reflected in the youth paragraph of the draft WSIS Declaration of Principles. A Nigerian working in South Africa, Akinsanmi grew up in abject poverty, but has ambitious plans for her future.
