Jaimin is a candidate attorney with Lopes Attorneys, he is a young individual who is actively defying the odds. Having completed his degree at the University of Johannesburg and actively attempting to secure articles of clerkship, Lopes Attorneys took a chance on him and he then proved to be their top achiever and is actively attempting to influence the legal sector by redefining what it means to be an attorney and changing the sometimes negative narrative around the profession by promoting the qualities of accountability, transparency, and inclusivity.
From being denied a spot to make his mark at every corner to proving that a shut door is merely an opportunity to knock elsewhere. Jaimin epitomises a young individual whose hunger for transformative change will see him dominating the landscape in the coming years.

Part of the team that achieved the Specialist Law Firm of the Year award at the African Legal Awards. A top performer in 2022. Started as a part-time assisting paralegal, was retained full-time after two weeks, and thereafter offered articles. Currently working lead with my managing director on a cross-border dispute totaling over R200 million.
I recall the exceptional feeling of belonging I felt being on my school’s various extra-mural teams, competing for titles, and the accompanying feelings of my contributions actively helping to achieve a goal. I carry this with me to bring these qualities to every aspect of my life.
