EXPEL ?WHITE COLONISERS? – KADHAFI

LIBYAN leader Moamer Kadhafi and Namibian President Sam Nujoma met on Monday and stressed the “importance of African unity,” Libyan television reported. Nujoma, who arrived in Tripoli on Monday, discussed the setting up of pan-African institutions and bilateral relations with Colonel Kadhafi, one of the most ardent proponents of such ideas on the continent. The Libyan leader called on Africans to throw out “white colonisers” and demanded compensation in a speech made during an African women’s conference, which opened on Sunday in Tripoli. “We are surprised to see that the whites in Zimbabwe ask for compensation at a time when we should expel them and ask for compensation,” he said. “After the revolution, Libya expelled 20_000 Italians and demanded compensation,” the maverick leader added. – AFP
