FOUR neatly dressed Orlando West boys aged between seven and 10 years again appeared in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Thursday to face charges of sexually assaulting a two-year-old girl. The boys, dressed in checked shirts and denims — seemingly unaware of what was happening to them — made their way to the dock while court officials stuck to their orders not to allow anyone into the in-camera proceedings. It was their second appearance since their arrest on November 4. They were not asked to plead to a charge of indecent assault. Magistrate Mohamed Jooma remanded the boys to a juvenile place of safety until December 2 for further investigations.
