ELEVEN DIE IN ROAD CRASH

ELEVEN people were killed and three seriously injured in a four-vehicle pile-up between Hectorspruit and Marlothpark in Barberton on Thursday morning. Traffic authorities said a taxi driver tried to overtake a truck that was driving slowly and crashed into the back of it. It said another truck and taxi travelling on the same route could not see the collision and crashed into the wreckage. In another fatal accident in the Western Cape, all six occupants of a car, including three children, were killed when the driver lost control and crashed between Laingsburg and Beaufort West at 5.30am on Thursday.
